2 more days, and a bit
The week is just moving slower and slower as Friday rolls near. I am migrating all of my stuff closer to the door as I pack, and I am cleaning each room in its entirety as I go. Mom – you were right… it IS going to be a tight fit in the Subaru! Well not too tight, but packed in for sure. We are not traveling that way going to Oregon though. I am only taking my clothes and absolutes. No lamps, chairs, tables, or dishes. Those will be going by way of the moving guys. I am SO excited to have someone move us! This is the first time we have not tricked and bribed friends and family into helping us move. Although I would always enjoy Heather and Coral helping me pack any day!
There was a foot of snow yesterday, and a couple more inches last night. Thank goodness the temperature had not been under 45 for a couple of weeks – the roads have stayed pretty clear.
So the plan is still a go… I am going to Indy Friday night, and Mom and Dad are coming to Indy this Sunday. Mom and I will leave out Monday, and who knows how far we will get the first day. I guess it depends on the weather and how much sleep I get Sunday night. I keep putting off looking at the route we will take, but it seems like mom and Jim have been discussing it. I am trying to leave some of the worrying to them. I have enough on my plate right now.
I have figured out one place I’d like to stop off at on the way out there. I want to go to the Black Hills.
I am bummed. My friends Jill and Victoria were going to come out to see me on Victoria’s spring break, but they might not get to come. I am so sad. I miss them, and we had been planning this since the summer. They of course thought they would be coming to NY not Oregon.
