Its been awhile
It was great seeing the gang last week in New York. I made it back just fine. I got back late late thursday night. I did not get a chance to sleep in and recover friday. Instead I had a dr's appointment downtown. I went down early to make sure I could find it. I got there in plenty of time so I drove around the neighborhood. It was down in the Hawthorne neighborhood. James and I would love to get a house down there. I found one for $379,000, and it was even pretty big. Most of them are craftsman style houses... so cute!
I got done with the dr and drove around a bit then I headed home to rest and work on the house. Saturday was a pretty day so I went and drove around on the east side. I decided that I need to keep a notebook in my car to write down places I find when I am out running around. I keep finding all these neat places that I want to go back and check out. I know I can never keep up with them all.
I saw this place downtown called "Just like a woman - specialty lingerie". How funny! They had a guy mannequin in the window wearing a special teddy.
I got all of the dishes put away, and the house is coming together. I just hope I can get it dog proofed well enough.
Dad is coming tomorrow! I am so excited! Their house is going on the market on the 21st. Ours goes on the market tomorrow. Woohoo!
James is getting everything together for his drive out with the dogs. He has bathed them and brushed them, and gotten all their vet records. I know he is dreading the trip. 3 dogs in a ford explorer... Joy! He is such a sweet boy putting up with all the stuff he's been dealing with lately.
I finished the bathroom tonight. Well... it is painted. I now need to get up all the paint flecks, and clean the tub. It is not quite dad-ready, but the toilet and sink are usable.
Dad is going to help me put in some light fixtures and ceiling fans while he is here. I will be happy to get them in.
I joined a health club today. I decided to join a gym rather than get cable.
