What a crazy couple of days

Friday morning James set out with the dogs. He made it a whopping 1200 miles the first day. I found him a nice Holiday Inn in Rapid City SD that gladly took in the dogs. They woke up Saturday morning early and set out once again. I was worried about James crossing the cascades. The weathermen had called for about 3 feet of snow in the cascades. I kept James apprised of the situation, and I checked the cams that the Oregon and Washington DOTs had in the mountain passes. It looked pretty clear most of the way, so James pushed on. I think he ended up going 1500 miles Saturday and he made it to the house about 11pm. Although he was tired, the dogs were well rested and ready for some serious mommy time.

Friday dad and I went and looked at some more apartments. We saw a couple of nice ones that mom would like. There are a lot of possibilities around here that is for sure. Saturday Dad and I (mostly dad) put in 3 new ceiling fans and relocated one existing one. (I’ll put up some pictures later) We took down some of the existing light fixtures, and I generally cleaned and dog-proofed the house. We had a good time running around, and we went exploring a bit.

Sunday I ran the guys on errands all morning, and all they wanted to do was take a nap. It is amazing all the things that are open around here easter Sunday. We got some new track lighting for the kitchen, and did some more electrical work. I got to play with the babies, which was wonderful!
