The end of the week
James is starting his new job on Monday, and I am going to New York Monday through Thursday for work. It will be a busy week. The babies’ new favorite babysitter is going to come over during the middle of the day to let them out since we don’t know how long James’ day is going to be.
We went to dinner with my old professor and his girlfriend Wednesday night. He was in Seattle earlier in the week to do a talk, and then he had a talk in Portland at Intel Thursday. So James and I got a chance to catch up with them, and we had a nice visit. He is so crazy. He says that he will have time this summer to start working on the design theory book we are writing together. We have a good start with my thesis project.
It has been nice having James home off work this week. We have been running around after I get off work in the afternoons. We have made a pact to go out and explore every weekend after I get back from New York. So we will be getting out and about town.
Mom and dad are getting all ready to move. Their yard sale went well, and they unloaded almost everything. Mom keeps calling me and asking me about things as she packs. She keeps running across things that she runs by me before she tosses them, just in case I want them. When James and I moved to Indiana, we pawned some stuff off on them for “safe” keeping. I guess none of us really expected them to move anytime soon. But here they go!
