Heat wave 2006

So I feel James and I do pretty well being raised in the south. People around here get a bit nuts when the temperature soars like this. We have set some new record hi's for the last few days - 103, 101 degrees. Ahhhh... but the trick is: LOW HUMIDITY. There is a great breeze, and the air is dry. This is what summer should be like. We have no air conditioning in our house... the few days like these each year are the times when it would be nice. We just open all the windows at night and close them all in the morning. The house is pretty cool when I get home from work... much cooler than outside. The dogs think they are dying. Mom and Dad think they are dying too I think.

Jill and Victoria are flying in tomorrow!!! I am SO excited to see them! I am not going to be able to sleep tomorrow! I have the rest of the week off, and we are going to paint the town red! Luckily the temps are going back down to the mid 70's. The sky is supposed to be clear too, so they will get to see everything. Lots of pictures to come!
