Mom's Famous Raspberry Cake

James always rags on mom for skimping on the cream cheese frosting. he bought her 4 boxes of powdered sugar when they moved in.... just as a reminder. Mom made this early for James' birthday. Raspberries are in season, so we had our first one of these with fresh raspberries. Fresh ones in Knoxville were SO expensive that using anything but frozen made this one costly cake.

The extra frosting made the cake slide and squish, but it tasted HEAVENLY.

James still complained that there was not enough frosting.
