Going to TX
This morning, early, I flew to Denver and met up with Morgana to fly on to Austin TX to visit a couple of hospitals while she did training on some of our products. I originally had a 30 minute layover in Denver, which is too close for comfort. But Morgana and I ended up waiting a little over 4 hours. We were missing a crew member, and they said for 2 hours that he was “in the airport” and our flight was delayed “indefinitely”. Fun. There were a bunch of other United flights that were closed or very delayed due to missing crew. I don’t know what the deal was.
I have bad flying karma, but as usual I met some nice people on the plane.
Once we finally got there we met up with the sales rep for that area, Brooke, for dinner. We had a blast. They are 2 crazy women!
Oh… and was it hot? Hell yes.
Austin was kind of pretty. I had always heard it was hilly, but it seemed pretty gosh darn flat to me! Dell is located there. When the crazy little desk clerk from the hotel (the one with impressive nose hairs) gave us insane directions to the restaurant he said we would pass the house of the owner of dell “up on a big hillside”. What? Anyway… we took the interstate instead.
By the way. Austin has a horribly confusing hwy system. Terrible. We made lots of u turns. Shut up James!
