Happy Birthday Heather!

I worked Thursday, so Heather did get some rest. We met up for dinner at Typhoon, one ofr the she-she-foo-foo restaurants at the Round. We tried to sit outside, but it was so cold that night. It was good to just hang out.

Today we hit the road early. We got to the Original Pancake House just as they opened and I had my favorite coconut pancakes. We filled up on some good food and good coffee, and we were fueled for the day. We headed out to the beach with Sherman (leaving the other two dogs at the house). We stopped at this scuzzy little farmer's market and they had blackberries bigger than your thumb. They were amazing. We were tooling down the road, and Heather squealed out that they had the Spruce Goose. She asked if we could go. I thought the Spruce Goose was some sort of craft store so I emphatically agreed. Turns out it is a big wooden plane. So we headed into the Aviation Museum. It was really cool. They had tons of cool planes.

We meandered our way to the beach, stopping at stores and getting some lunch. Sherman was a real trooper. He kept getting excited everytime we would stop because he could smell the ocean. It was a beautiful day. We found an area that sherman could play ball, and Heather and I walked along the beach. We went south to Lincoln City, stopped off at the Yaquima Lighthouse and Agate Beach, then we cut back through to Newport, and then headed home to have a birthday dinner with James.
