Lake Mead

I woke up Saturday and went to Lake Mead which is just outside of Las Vegas. It was gorgeous. The water level was really low. Almost all of the boat launches were closed. I met these 2 old ladies who told me about the area. There is a wetlands just outside of Vegas that drains into Las Vegas Lake. From there it washes down to Lake Mead. It is one of the things that feeds Lake Mead.

It was kind of weird to see all the campers and RVs squatting along the lake. I went down to one boat launch and it was sorta scary. Some of those people had been there a long time. It is amazing they let people live in a park like that.
