Rain

It has been raining for several days now. Not normal rain, but gullywashers. It is kinda weird after weeks and weeks of dryness. The trees were turning and the fall colors were looking really gorgeous, and then boom. All the lovely leaves are on the street making a big slippery blanket. People have been freaking out, driving like crap, and getting into accidents. My friend Rob (not to be confused with the legendary wasabi king Robert) told me tonight it was called the pineapple express... because it is Hawaiian style weather.

I went to the doctor today. Yes... this is the first time since knoxville that I have a family doctor. I've always had insurance, but I never seemed to use it. I had to get a physical and a bunch of immunizations for work. I ended up spending almost 3 hours there. I had my blood drawn - which was an aweful trial and error process of digging around in my arm for a vein. Then I went back to the exam room for my shots. When she was done with the 3rd one, I passed out. She said I turned green and then I was gone. I came to about ten minutes later to 3 people standing around me. They gave me OJ and graham crackers and would not let me leave. It was quite a morning.

We unloaded Tiffanie's truck-o-stuff in the rain. Luckily she did not have very much. It was pouring rain... no it was a driving rain. The sweet truck driver managed to back the truck (a 28 footer) all the way up the driveway. Holy crap... if you saw my driveway, you would be amazed. He did bust his side mirror on one of the trees, but at least he didn't take down the nieghbor's fence! James came home in time to help us, which was great. It took us 20 minutes to unload, and I was absolutely soaked when we were done. We now have her stuff in our garage and will start the process of ferrying it to her apartment.
