Vacation!

Jim and I embarked on our vacation this morning. Yes... a real vacation, a road trip in fact. We have not had a vacation together in AGES. I'm excited. We are planning to cut diagonally from Portland down to Southeastern Oregon and down into California on back roads, expecting to stop at a bunch of weird places along the way. We are meeting Heather in Reno (Yay!) the evening of the second day. She is flying in, and we are spending the night in Reno, having dinner and catching up with our old friend Mike. We'll leave Reno and go to Lake Tahoe. Then we are going down to Bodie, Mono Lake (one of my favorite places!), and then Yosemite. After that its back to civilization. We will spend a couple of days in San Francisco and Sunnyvale (to see Susan, Willie, Ron, and the kids. Then we'll head straight back to Portland on I-5. It will be an action packed 9 days!

I expect to be totally burned out on twzzlers by the time we get back.
