Dad is here!

Well dad landed in Portland just fine on tuesday. He was raring to go as soon as he got here. We got some dinner/lunch and tooled around town. I took him on a big whirlwind tour showing him a bit of everything. He thought it all looked a lot like Knoxville… just bigger.

Yesterday dad and I headed up to Vancouver. We explored up there a bit and messed around downtown. He’s always up for some good coffee time! We went into Vancouver on I-5 over the old bridge, and then on our way back home we went on I-205 over the newer bridge over by the airport. I took him down to Oregon City, and I found the weird horse shoe falls down there. I had not remembered where it was, but we stumbled on it. Dad loved it… it was really cool. I smelled really bad. I think I can still smell it. I told dad I wish we had a smell-a-photo so we could share it! I do have pictures, so hopefully I’ll get them posted. I have been bad about the pictures lately.

Today we will start the great apartment hunt!
