James Birthday!
Today is James’ birthday! My little sweetie pie turned…. ummmm…. 23? 28? What are we at now? Mom and dad looked after him, dinner and frosting…. lots of frosting I am sure. Remember the post about the house warming gift of powdered sugar? They are still fighting about how much frosting is enough.
The girls and I went to the hospital in Killeen and I observed Morgana working her magic. She is such a GOOD teacher. She knows all the lingo (from years of being a nurse), and she knows how to relate the product info to them. Plus she is so sweet! I have met so many nice people at my job. She and Brooke are GREAT! It was really interesting to see how the nurses could and could not use the products. Boy have I got my work cut out for me!
After Killeen, we went over to Lampasas to a hospital. I did not stay there too long, I headed out since I was staying in Austin that night. The environment at the hospital in Lampasas was VERY different. It was a very small hospital. The training took place in the original part of the hospital, which was an OLD stone building. It was so cool.
Sorry gang, no pictures of the hospital. I thought it would be a bad idea.
When I headed back to Austin, I realized I would be getting in around rush hour. Bad idea. Traffic is AWFUL in Austin, so I decided to go site seeing. You guys know how I love to drive around and explore.
So I drove from Lampasas around the far top of Austin, out to the boonies, then went south, stopping in Cameron TX. It was funny that most of the towns I stopped in were basically deserted.
