Condos in the Pearl District

The Pearl District is a cool little area downtown that is a grid of 15-20 streets or so. It is just over towards the hills from the downtown corporate area. There are tons of cool shops, doggie day cares, breweries,and it has an area called restaurant row. They have really revived the area, and alot of the Warehouses have been converted to shee-shee-foo-foo condos. It is nice to walk the streets, see all the exotic cars, hang out in the tea rooms, and buy neat stuff in little boutiques. There are some really nice old houses, some turned into apartments and condos, and it is the "in" place to live. Translation = James and I could not afford to live there. I think the crime is slightly higher, but it is a hip, young professional place to live. Maybe we aren't cool enough to live there too.
