Hanging with Holly
Bucky had to go to work and class today so Holly and I hung out. We got up and had a bonding chat then went to breakfast at a cool place called the Mission. It kind of reminded me of the Tomato Head in Knoxville... ooooh sad.
We then headed for the dog beach. When we got there I realized I absolutely had to pee. Well... yes it is time for another scary bathroom story. I followed a terrifying old lady - envision no teeth, no shoes (ICK you'll understand in a minute), and a tremendous smell. I went in and the floor was a combination of water and a variety of human excrement. I REALLY had to go, and the sound of the ocean was not helping. I rounded the corner, headed into a stall and HOLY COW... there were no doors on the stalls. None there, never were. Well now is the time you all can be proud of me... I went in, closed my eyes, prayed for toilet paper, and did my business.
Back to the dog beach. It was like doggy heaven. We took Holly's dog Apple, Bucky's dog Rufus, and Sherman. We let them go and the proceeded to sniff (objects and other dogs), pee, and poop. It made me think that I should have waited and joined them. Holly and I threw the tennis ball for the kids. Rufus wasn't interested. He just ran around and investigated everything. Apple could run like the wind, and poor sherman... I havd never seen him run that hard. Sherman eventually notice that LOTS of people had tennis balls, so he would attach himself to people whose dogs were not as fast as him. We finally got him to play with us again, and after the kids were sufficiently tired. We went back to Holly's condo and gave them all a bath. We left them all fresh and clean to nap.
We then went out for a girl's manicure and pedicure. It was lots of fun! We picked out our colors, ate some firey hot cheetoes, then soaked our feet in a whirlpool and enjoyed the massaging chairs. We thought it would be really fun to paint our toes the same color and have flowers painted on our big toes. We knew it would creep Bucky out. It worked!
Holly had to go to work for a few hours before dinner. So Bucky, Sherman, and I walked down to the coffee shop and hung out. For dinner, Holly made a yummy pasta, and we ate together and hung out at the condo.
