Never, and I mean never…
Think it is harmless to put yogurt pretzels and wasabi peanuts in the same bag. I thought I would save a bag in o’hare and mix them. Oohoo hot yogurt pretzels – icky.
The trip went well. 2 people from the Singapore office were in Chicago too and we were staying in the same hotel. They were lots of fun and about my age. We ran around together the last several days. We got a lot of work done too. We basically locked ourselves in a conference room and poured over a table of devices. It was fun. The guys in Chicago are a good group. They are a bunch of neat guys. They are threatening to send me to Singapore for a week or so. I hope so! I’d love to go there… especially with such great tour guides!
Tuesday night the Singapore kids, myself, and one of the guys from the office went into the city. He was nice enough to drive us around and take us to a great dinner. We made the Singapore kids try some of the local brew, and fun was had by all. We got in late that night, and I was all wound up by the time I got back to my room, so I somehow stayed up a few more hours. Needless to say I had to drag my butt out of bed to go into the office. I was there for most of the day before heading to the airport. It took me forever to get there, but it was pretty painless to return the rental car (which I ended up basically only driving to and from the airport) and check my little bag. One good thing to say about o’hare… they have great curbside check-in. I walked up, gave the guy my bag, he gave me my boarding pass, and off I went. I passed the United Air desk on the way to security check-in and there were TONS of people! I was lucky to spot the curbside check-in.
It was blistering hot in the airport.
James is in the big countdown. He is leaving Indy Friday afternoon, and he is in that sort of dazed state. His parents came in this past weekend and helped him get the house all spiffed up. He said they did a great job… Thanks Mary and Norris!!!! I wish that loose end was taken care of, but at this point I could care less. James will be here early next week, and Mom and Dad will be here the first of June, and I will be a happy camper.
People are just going all over the place these days! Heather is coming to Portland TOMORROW, and I am so STOKED she is going to be here. We are going to have a rockin’ time. I am selfishly glad that James will not be here until the end of her visit… I get her ALL to myself this weekend. That means lots of girl talk, shopping, giggling, snorting, and laying awake all night talking and guffawing until we pass out from exhaustion. Bucky is going to China. I am so happy for him, I know this is something he has wanted to do for awhile. He better bring back some killer photos! And my fabulous friends Jill and Victoria promise me they are coming sometime in June. They better or I will hunt them down. I sooo want them to come out here to play. Plus they better come out here. I have a box of stuff I have been meaning to mail to them for about 3 months or so, and I keep adding to the contents.
