And more patio

I did not get a shot of the master bedroom deck... sorry.

Remember, we have not moved in yet, so this stuff is all the previous renter's.

More patio

Good things are dogs are too dainty for grass. They sure will keep their toenails in good shape with the brick. I am glad there are lots of parks around.

Ahhh...

The patio.

The deck off of the kitchen

There are rose bushes lining it.

More of the kitchen deck

Mom is dying to put something in those window boxes.

The living room

Pretty freaking 80's. eh? Nice gas fireplace though.

The extra living room off of the kitchen

It is so light in this room. Further to the left there are double french doors.

The sideyard

The dogs in the back are two sweet black labs. I hope they all get along.

The kitchen

It is in one corner, and the rest of the room is all open. The counter on the left has a bar, and the floor is ceramic tile.

The entryway

The turnaround

The window is in the kitchen.

Mow what?

The front

The house sits basically sideways.

The driveway

It is really long, so lots of room for party guests!

Bits of the downed tree

There is debris all over the place.

The house

So I went this weekend and took some pictures for Jim. The current renter was not out yet, but I think you guys will get a good idea. I LOVE the yard. I think we are really going to like it there. During some storms before I got here, a tree came down and took out a section of fence, and a small corner of the roof. They are fixing it, and it should be about done by the end of this week. They have to be really careful about mold here, so the insurance company is testing everything like crazy. It is sad about the tree, because the house lost a great big pine.

In loving memory of Fluffy

Nice. It is not like they are mourning the recent passing of their beloved pet. The flufster died in 2002. Mom's sharp eye caught this one.

House Farm

There are houses up the side of bull mountain as far as the eye can see. This is in Tigard, which is one of the newer areas.

Mailboxes?

Out in the suburbs, almost no one has their very own mailbox. There are usually mail outposts like this.

RV Parking

Yes - it IS a selling point. I have never seen so many RVs before.

Check out this beaute!

No colors were altered in this photo! This neighborhood was fairly new, and very trashy.

A beautiful house in town

Yes - there are tons of these houses around, but there are also subdivision nightmares.

Hectic Week

Poor mom is sick, it has started to rain, and I have a bunch of deadlines.

I feel very disconnected from all the stuff that is going on in Indiana. Jim has been dealing with all the house selling mess, packing, and living in Indiana by himself.

Mom and I have been looking at houses to see what is out there for her and dad. We sure have found some ugly stuff. I think it has been a shock - to all of us - exactly how CLOSE together some of the houses are. It is weird though... in some places it is elbows to butt holes and in other places it is home on the range!

So dad, these photos are for you!

So instead...

We used the motel 6 location map (the one out of the 1997 atlas) to make our way instead!

1997!

Who in their right mind would let 2 crazy women drive across the country with a 1997 atlas?

The salt and dirt of 10 states

Cool moss!

The bottom of multnomah falls

This nearly glowed

Two wild gals at the falls

Lots of the trees were covered in moss

Multnomah Falls

The bottom of horseshoe falls

The hills looked like velvet

Vinyards in the Gorge

Mom made a friend on the way to stonehenge

Mt Hood was out!
